Are people going overboard with all this flag drama

I think to begin with it was fine but when racism got involved it went overboard. There was no reason for a disagreement about standing for the flag to turn into a racial subject.

It isn't't fair because of how the court is supposed to work. Everyone is to be assumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (90 - 95% of evidence goes against defendant)

North Korea has "declared" war on America over 200 times in the past 20 years

This shows that North Korea really does not want war with the United States. They have not done anything in those 200 times they declared war.

Re: The Majority

This is a great example also of the flag issue, the majority of people feel like they want to be left alone and not bothered about all the issues. Where as we should take responsiblity as in voicing our own opinons

Yesterday we discussed how the majority is responsible for the protection and control of the minority. How do you think the majority should handle situations like this without overshadowing the minority too much?

Re: Sacco and Vanzetti

Absolutely it was unfair. The trial was already decided in a sense before it started, By a biased judge and people filled with hatered toward immigrants. For that reason trial was rushed and Vanzetti didnt even get a fair say. For Vanzetti, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Do you think it's fair to assume that Vanzetti was also guilty even though the guilt of Sacco was the only thing that could be proven?

Re: Our sounding board

When the first people formed prejudice ideas, did other people support hatred without reason or did they discourage it? If they discouraged it, how did it grow into the major issue of today?

If the Sacco-Vanzetti case had happened today how do you think people would react?

If people focused on what they have in common instead of their differences, do you think we would grow as a nation or do our differences teach us how to grow?

There was a treaty. The armistice took place and then you have a treaty.

End of the week, make sure that you post
