I'm glad the exams are cancelled, but the teachers are still doing the test. I'd rather have a regular test than an exam that takes a big percentage of your grade. I guess teachers didn't want to go over the material and not take a test.

Trump is wanting to increase the nuclear arsenal tenfold. I don't know whether to be worried or less worried.

Labeling of Eras

Today Mrs. Bowman mentioned briefly that the people of the 1920s did not refer to the decade as "The Roaring Twenties". It made me wonder, how do you think future historians will label the time period we're in now?

The only issue I see is that by increasing our arsenal that will encourage other countries to increase theirs. I don't think we have very much to worry about, however, if other countries believe we are preapraring for war they aren't just going to sit around and watch our military expand. They will do the same.

Although people say that standardized testing is unfair to students and applies to much stress on the student, the testing actually applies good work ethic, prepares students for college, and gives every student a opportunity to consider college. Do you agree that standardized testing should be banned why or why not?

Standardized testing is something that is often debated. I disagree with it. If you ask people before the test how they are feeling, often the answer is, ‘I’m nervous.” Standardized tests can make or break your college future. That is not fair because some people are just not good at taking tests. Some people have test anxiety. It should be banned.

There will never be complete world peace. There will never be racial equality. People will always have different opinions. People will still want to overpower others. The world probably could not even get close due to the conflict going on now and the conflict that has happened in the past. The only way peace would ever be achieved is if everyone accepted that people are going to have different opinions.

I do not believe that the world will ever get close to world peace. There will all ways be some kind of disagreement between countries causing tension.

I think that there were so good things that came out of the 1920s like, the automobile, jazz, and the culture change. I also think that not everyone got to experience the good.

I do not think they were really worried about getting 9 week exams cancelled. That has nothing to do if what they were protesting, which was if you should have to stand for the pledge or not.
