Today Mrs. Bowman mentioned briefly that the people of the 1920s did not refer to the decade as "The Roaring Twenties". It made me wonder, how do you think future historians will label the time period we're in now?

I think future historians will label the time period we are in now based on what we have done that they never had thought of. In this time period the first African American was elected President, a women ran for president, and same sex marriage was made legal. That is only a few things that were done in this time era.

Trump is trying to do what is best for our country. He is probably preparing for the worst. You can not blame him for being prepared for wartime. I think that it is a good idea to increase the nuclear arsenal now before it is too late. Would you rather stand back and watch the wartime unfold, or would you rather get ready for wartime?

I'm glad the exams are cancelled, but the teachers are still doing the test. I'd rather have a regular test than an exam that takes a big percentage of your grade. I guess teachers didn't want to go over the material and not take a test.

I think that the exams were canceled due to emotional stress of the students. Many students were scared to come to school. With all of the threats, focusing on a test would have been extremely hard. I think that it was a wise decision.

The 1920's were definitely roaring in some areas, but I don't think they were quite as roaring as people thought they were. There were the sections and areas in cities where there were speakeasies with dancers and music, but there were also areas where people were more calm, and almost looked down on the people having lots of fun. A lot of people probably think that everything and everyone in the 1920's were dancing and having fun all the time, but it wasn't everyone, and it wasn't all the time.

Hearing all the news swarming around school, i think of the saying "One man could change the world." I believe this is true, but you may think to yourself how can i make a difference? What do you think you can do to change the school?

Most teachers say that students never do there work or complete the work that was given to them. But if the teacher would stop and realize that the more the talk and explain the activity that is given the less time the students have to actually do it and complete it. Who agrees?

I agree, teachers sit and talk to us for almost half the class and then we don't have time to finish the assignment and we end up getting a low grade.

I don't think they went through with all this drama just for 9 weeks exams to be cancelled. They were just showing what they believe in, I mean after all for the most part we still had tests.
